When it comes to licensed games, Star Wars is the king. There have been many games, spanning over many consoles. There have bee the good (Knights of the Old Republic and Battlefront) and the not so good (Attack of the Clones and Flight of the Falcon). But at the end of the day, it’s Star Wars, and it’s going to sell even if the games does suck. And that brings me to the latest chapter in the Star Wars universe, The Force Unleashed, the untold story of Darth Vader’s secret apprentice. And you ...

Since it was first released Burnout has been an arcade racer. A crazy arcade racer, full with adrenalin, crashes and fast paced action. You see, there are two types of racer, the arcade race like Burnout, PGR and Sega Rally. And there is the free - roaming racers, like Need for Speed and Midnight Club. Both stay in their own territory, and both remained popular. But now Burnout has made the jump to free roaming(and Need for Speed has made the jump to Arcade racing, funny eh). And, my god is it ...

20 years. It’s been almost 20 years since the Dragon Ball Z anime first aired. It’s hard to believe, I know. In those 20 years it has become a phenomenon, and most probably the most popular manga and anime series around. So, with a phenomenon comes lots of merchandise. From T-shirts to action figures. And of course Video Games. And Dragon Ball Z has had many games. From the NES to the Arcade. The majority of these games are fighters. Some good, some not so good. And the latest game in the series ...

Broken_Pixel's Reviews : SOCOM Confrontation Beta

The people behind SOCOM Confrontation had better be glad that this is a beta. Because they certainly haven’t impressed with it. A beta is to test the servers and to demo the game to people. To impress them. To convince them to purchase their game. Which they just haven’t done. It is a glitchy mess. Even from the menu you can notice this. You press down and you down two options. The first thing you have to do is create a character. You can pick between Commandos and Mercenaries. The character ...

Broken_Pixel's Reviews : God of War Chains of Olympus

God of War is now one of Sony’s AAA titles. The two games on the PS2 were stunning, beautiful and epic. And these games were hard to match, or surpass. So, following along with Sony’s master class titles such as Ratchet and Clank, Metal Gear, Tekken, Jak and Daxter, Final Fantasy and WipEout, it is about to take the transition to PSP. But how the epic scale of the game fit on to a portable console?

Chains of Olympus is set ten years before the original God of War. The Gods have sent Kratos ...

Broken_Pixel's Reviews : Patapon

Is it just me or are new, original, exiting games a rarity? There are games like Okami, Loco Roco and Ico that can breath new life onto a console. You don’t get many games like that anymore, you get sequels and new IP’s that can end up bad. Not that sequels are bad, just look at God of War 2 and Call of Duty 4. And new IP’s can be really good aswell just look at Bioshock and Uncharted Drakes Fortune, they were phenomenal. But then look at TimeShift and Kane & Lynch, which aren’t that good. ...
