Are you fit at gaming?

During our P.E. theory lesson (which I just listened to my iPod all the way though) our teacher was blabbering on about fitness and how old people can beat olympic athletes at sports. She said that:

"Fitness means to be able to cope with tasks of your enviroment"

So say an Olympic swimmer versus a 75 year old show jumper. The swimmer would in the pool but the show jumper would win in showjumping despite the massive age difference.

So that raised the question: Could a WoW nerd be fitter than an premiership footballer?

Discuss. (also tell me if I'm just blabbering on or if I'm making some sort of sense)

So say your day's activity is to win a game on CoD4 and you can do that everyday then in theory that means your fit. Well it used to mean you're fit.

Fitness is to do with your body though. What you're on about is having the ability to undergo certain tasks.
Playing games is nothing to do with fitness. :G

P.E. is the biggest pile of shit I took, it was a load of bollocks and is a disgrace to every other subject there is.

There's too many meaning for the word fitness. For the majority of 'em, you're talking a load of tosh, but for "being fit to do certain tasks" or whatever you said, you're probably right.
Still, that type of fitness cannot be compared to footballers/olympians/etc...

...otherwise if a tramps goal was to earn 50p a day from begging, and he does so successfully everyday, you would consider him to be fit.
