Getting A Ps3 for christmas.

SO i am hopefully getting a PS3 for christmas, so you guys need to help me decide stuff.
1) I need a good deal on a ps3.
2) I want some games recommending

also do you need to buy a headset seperatley?

1) Dont know any deals.
2) LBP, MGS4, Resistance 1+2, Uncharted, motorstorm 1/2, SOCOM.

And yes you will, though apperently you get one with SOCOM.

Ah, decided to take the plung, good for you. By christmas the only skew avalible will the the 80gb. It's an alright size. But it would be best to get a bigger harddrive, I got a 250gb on the internet for £45. And they are very easy to put in. It has to be a 2.5inch laptop harddrive.
As for games, there are a ton, Little Big Planet, Metal Gear Solid 4, Uncharted, Rathcet and Clank, Hevanly Sword, Resistance 2, Resistance, Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm, Dead Space, Fallout 3, Mirrors Edge, Prirnce of Persia and there are loads more.
And a headset, you can get the really nice looking Sony headset with SOCOM Confrontation for £40 I think.

Depends really, games like Meal Gear Solid 4, Bioshock, Grand Turismo 5 : Prolouge, GTA4 and Oblivion all take up 4gb-5gb. And if you want downloadable games like Siren (that takes up 10gb) and Ratchet & Clank : Quest for Booty (3gb). And then there are all the games coming out in the coming year. It just helps to put a bigger harddrive in.

guys i am getting my ps3 sooner, 'cos i am trading that pile pf shit wii in for it. wii prices dont go down in price when they are 2nd hand i refuse to pay £40 for any more shitty games so yeah ps3 this month hopefully.

edit: im getting my ps3 2nd hand, hopefully saturday, so is 40gb enough space to start with as this is cheaper 2nd hand ?

Get the 40gb, and change the HDD.

I'm thinking of doing this. There's no reason for me to keep it other then the Conduit, which doesn't look that great anyway.
I also have a 360 so i'm looking for some good exclusives, can anyone help me out?

Anyway, the only good PS3 exclusives (if thats what you're asking for about the exclusives) are Ratchet and Clank and LittleBigPlanet. At any rate, I'm not even concidering a PS3 untill more big exclusives come out, especially with the current state the 360 is in. <3

Hmm, ok fair enough. I'll still probably sell the Wii anyway, like i said not really anything coming out for it.

yeah so the ps3 is FUCKING awesome. i have ratchet and clank resistance 2 MGS4 and mtorstorm, all ps3 exclusives and all my fave games ever! (except GH2 and 3 and other party ganes)
