Achievement whoring. How much of a whore are you?

I'm a bit of a whore because I love seeing that little message saying "Achievement Unlocked" along with the noise it makes ^_^. That and my mates moan at me if GS doesn't increase. They're awkward like that.

Not really, i just play the main quest usually. If that gives me GS then ok, if not then i'm not too bothered.

Well, I aim to get all of them for each game, unless they're just stupid.

I go to get achievements but I'm not a whore. Just because I play the game to get achievements (which also increases play time/replay value). Anyone who has King Kong or Avatar can just like, get out.

I care more about the achievements themselfs than how much they're worth.

Like Annual for example. I have respect for people who have that cause I know I'd never be able to do it even if it has 0Gs. I'm also proud of Head Chomper and I think it's 15Gs. It's not much for how hard it is.

At the moment, very much so.

Everyone says my GS is pathetic, which I know it is, but I haven't had a 360 for that long.

Plus it's just nice.

Yes. Avatar takes about 30 secs after starting the game to get the full 1000 and King Kong is fucking horrible and VERY easy. CSI is the same.

And I agree with you on the achievements being worth more than the GS. Seriously... on Gears of War means ALOT more than 50G. And I mean A-fucking-LOT.

I don't really mind to be honest, I guess it's something to do if you were bored or Live was down or whatever.
I don't go out of my way for them really, just as they come I guess.

I only has King Kong because on mah burfday I was in England and my cousin gave me it to play (due to my other games being in Scotland) ...He could of given me something better, mind.

I like to have quite high GS on my games. Mainly because I wouldn't like people thinking I've given up on a game, or got stuck.
...Some of my mates hunt for achievements all the time, while others ridicule me for having quite a high GS. [considering I've only had a 360 for little over 3 months] XD

Achievements are there to has got. I like to has got achievements. But it's much better to has got said achievements fairly. I once boosted Shadowrun with my friends which made me sad. 'Nd when mah mate glitched Gears and 15 achievements for 400 odd GS popped up at once made me almost cry.

Errrm.

I like having all 1000 or 200 or 1250 or whatever, but I don't go to the ends of the earth to get them.

Like with Halo. I knew I could get them, so I went for them, with only Overkill taking a while.

And like fagboy said, having a hard achievement is nice to have for show off purposes.

Like Mile High Club and Annual.

@Hodgie, I'm pretty sure you glitched the Gears achievements.

I don't care about the points I care about what the achievement is. For example Beating Expert on Guitar Hero deserves way more than 30g.

I "whore" the games I have, but I wouldn't buy the easy 1000 games.

Seriously isnt a hard achievement, it's just one that takes a long time to complete, but 6 straight hours of playing a plastic instrument isnt exactly easy. Same goes for dark agent, whilst its a very difficult achievement, it doesnt have to be done in one sitting.

i tend to get around 600 on all my games that i own, which is about 10. (i borrow sometimes/ play it at a friends house). i don't buy games very often so i try to make the most out of them.

Same. I usually go for 500+ but normally get way over that, unless I don't like the game (Rainbow Six, you piece of shit), I cba, or that game's achievements are insane (Fuck you Perfect Dark).

And Elmand, strumming for 6 hours straight might not be easier than getting 10,000 kills, but getting 10,000 kills will take you over a months play-time I bet. Plus it's not actually 10,000 kills as it's glitched. 17,000 kills for moi. ¬_¬
