Gears of War was alright, it didn't deserve all the 10's. More like 7's and 8's. But I have ti admit, Gears looks like it deserves the 10's.

2 new Gears 2 campaign vids. No story spoilers, but obviously mission spoilers.

OH. MY. GOD.

Looks a lot less like Gears of Fat and a lot more like Gears of Macy Gray...

Yeah. I suppose that's because it's not made by Nintendo. DAMN YOU MICRSOFT, FUCKERS.

I'd like to point out that your point is not neccessarily a good thing.

Colour is a good thing, having a game with colour and vibrancy makes the setting a lot more fun to play in.

Let's look at exibit A.

There are like, 3 colours in the whole of gears of War.

Black, Iron Grey and Shit Brown

This does not make the game good. Some may argue that it makes the world more believable, I don't buy this at all. Halo made wore torn environments look good, as did plenty of other games. The fact that the game maintains this tone just makes the game despondant....depressing....shiiit.

It might be just be, but Gears seems to go over the top with the general "MAN/FAT/BEEF" look. The gaming industry have moved on from clautraphobic dark rooms. Hopefully Gears can learn from this in the third game rather then making the characters 10% more Fat.

This is what Gears 2 would look like if Epic added some colour:

There is quite a lot of red throughout the game
