It'll be adding to the groundwork for the new update, so don't get your hopes up that the update will be straight after.

The downtime is 24 hours, much longer than usual (apart from christmas 07 but ill ignore that...) and it is fall. Also a lot of their posts on xbox.com about netflix etc sound very much in the present tense.

Im pretty sure the last downtime was for 12+ hours or something and that wasn't the whole update... This could be the new dashboard but I think it'll come around october/november time personally.
