Metallica ~ Death Magnetic

Death Magnetic is the ninth studio album by American heavy metal band Metallica. It was released on September 10, 2008 by Warner Bros. Records. The album is the band's first to feature current bassist Robert Trujillo, and the first to be produced by Rick Rubin. Death Magnetic also marks the first time in the band's history in which all band members contributed to each song on an album. It is their first studio album released through Warner Bros., although they still remain with Warner Music Group, which also owns Elektra Records, the band's previous label.
Since May 12, 2008 (2008-05-12), the album has been heavily promoted on its specially dedicated website, entitled Mission: Metallica, which features daily updates of exclusive, behind-the-scenes sneak previews with photos and video clips from the studio. The original logo used by the band, which had been discontinued following the 1993 release Live Shit: Binge & Purge in favor of more modernized band logos, made its return on Death Magnetic

Deffinitly picking this up, Heard "The Day That Never Comes", "Cyanide", "My Apocalypse" and "The Judas Kiss" and I'm impressed. Metallica are back on form it seems.

I've had it downloaded for nearly two weeks now, it's great.
I'ma buy it at some point today.

I've not really heard St. Anger properly, but Death Magnetic is epic. Most of the songs remind me of classic Metallica (The Day That Never Comes = One AM I RIGHT?). Can't wait to pick it up :3Timmy_the_tortoise wrote:It's not another St. Anger is it?

When I was listening to TDTNC the other day, whilst it was on Kerrang, it just seemed to drag on. And on. And on, and on, and on. All the time I was listening to it, I was thinking 'I could be watching Everybody Loves Raymond right now...'

doubt i'll get it. TDTNC or whatever it is seemed pretty lame.
In my opinion, they're trying to hard to go back to their old really thrashy style. Just seems kinda lame to me.

TDTNC is easily the weakest song on the album.
