HALP!!!!

Ok, it seems like my 360 is pretty much fucked. I mean, it turns on and everything, but theres no picture from the console. I tried using component lead in SD and HD, and the VGA lead, i also tried it on another tv and still no luck.

So I obviously need it repairing, however £85 is a lot for me. Anyone have any ideas on what might be wrong, and also how I can get it repaired for free or for cheaper.

Any help appreciated.

There's usually other places that repair consoles/handhelds cheaper. If you're out of warranty, then I'd reccomed checking the yellow pages or something..

Spoke to microsoft. Paid £60 for repairs, extra warranty and XBL. Fair enough.

After that GH3 achiecvement, it's tired.

To my knowledge, he hasn't gained any Guitar Hero III achievements recently... Plus, I got a load of Guitar Hero III achievements and my 360 is alright... 980/1000.

better have it back for force unleashed... i buried it today and UPS are collecting it tomorrow. Going to frankfurt this time.

I got this problem..

The only thing I can think which made it work again was standing it up..

No idea why it was giving a blank screen, but after I stood it up closer to the floor, it worked again.

Presumably this means it was some sort of overheating issue, maybe the GPU was overheating.

Anyway, try cooling it better.. worked for me.

For me it wasnt an overheating issue as I never play for hours on end and the last time it worked I only played for a few minutes. I think the output just died.

But on the bright side, My warranty is extended now and I have less chance of the thing breaking down on november 7.

Find instructions for factory reset (I think when your console loads you press y and rt but look it up) and it should work

That's a good point actually. On numerous occassions my PS3 turns on fine but doesn't display anything. Turns out the solution was to reset the settings by holding the power button down until it beeps twice, or something like that. Although I think his 360's already been picked up.

That thing didnt work, i tried it. But yeah, now it's in UPS' hands and now its on the way to germany.

My friends Xbox 360 got collected yesterday, and mine's on it's way. I got the RROD a couple of weeks ago whilst playing Viva Pinata. It's been fine since but it does occassionally freeze, although to be honest I'd rather it RROD now then when Guitar Hero IV comes out.

Same, Id rather have it die now than november 7, Ive been waiting so long for gears 2 that itd be a royal kick in the balls if my 360 broke.
