Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed tells the story of Darth Vader's secret apprentice, code-named "Starkiller" but born Galen Marek, as he hunts down the remaining Jedi after Emperor Palpatine orders them killed. Set between Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, the story explores the aftermath of the Great Jedi Purge as well as the rise of Darth Vader. The events of The Force Unleashed are "pivotal" in Darth Vader's history and development as a character, and offer illumination into other characters from A New Hope, Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, and Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi

Its released on Friday, after playing the demo I'm tempted to get it. The combat works well but I'm more interested in the story.

Not decided if I getting this game yet. We'll see.

Loved the demo and I can see myself enjoying that kind of combat for the entire game, but I hear it's too short. I suppose I could play it on a higher difficulty, but I might just rent in for a week and finish it then.

I've been wanting this for ages now, I planned the demo and enjoyed it but i'm not going to buy it yet. Too many other things going on/coming out. Maybe in a month or two (plus it'll be a little cheaper then too).

I believe its out on the 19th, so next Friday.

I might pick it up if I get any birthday money. The demo was alright, but I can see it getting a tad repetitive, and its supposed to be really short.

Just so everyone knows this game will have different.
Ones that are true to the story e.g something like starkiller get lost in the girly teaparty planet after trying to kill the feared Lazy Town Crew
or not true ones such as starkiller kills vader

A game Ive been looking forward to for ages, nearly as much as gears 2. I will certainly get it next week if my xbox is back from germany.

Looks awesome. I cba to look at the links and if I do I'll get an awnser quicker here (probably).

What Live stuff does it have on it? If Co-op is on there I think it may just be a must...

I'm pretty sure it's single player only, on the 360 version at least. If you buy the Wii version theres verus mutliplayer etc.

Arh cool, I would get but the Wii doesn't feel like a console I can play with my mates till the early hours of the morning.

I watched the review on Player this morning (Bravo channel) it scored an impressive 9/10, but i'm still not getting it for a few weeks.

I'm definitely gonna rent it, but it's not worth buying. Not when it's only six hours.

Next GOTW should blates be Pure.

They are usually right on these things so it's not looking good.

IGN gave it 7.5, good score. And even if it does get bad/average reviews, I enjoyed the demo, so I don't give a crap.

Well this is what I am doing now:

I am not buying this game on release, if I do it'll be in a couple of months where the game is alot cheaper.

And it's looks alright. Won't get it insta but might end up eventually getting it. The demo was pretty fun but I can't see it offering much more.

@Adam; I agree, while Yahtzee's reviews are fun to watch, they shouldn't really be taken at face value.

I don't take them to face value but they do bring up good points about them game.
