New Xbox Experience [Xbox.com]
Check your email, you probably just got a notice from Microsoft inviting you to a site demonstrating the new Xbox Live experience. No, a release date is not specified. The site features examples of the content and features you can expect once it does arrive, presented in a simulation of the new dashboard. There are videos on avatar creation and interaction with your friends (some of which we've already seen), and another touting its online entertainment capabilities. Everything has the bigger-better-more company shine on it. The addition of the Inside Xbox channel looks intriguing, but few specifics beyond the teasers offered.

Re: The New Xbox Experience
i quite like the new interface
however i still think they're slightly copying the XMB here
and obviously they're just blatantly ripping off Miis
but i still think it will be a goood update

Re: The New Xbox Experience
It was pretty much perfect as it was. It was its own style, and not similar to anything else..
If I had a choice of keeping what it is now I would.

...But you'd still want the new features, right?

Yeah because making your own character and playing with them was never done before the Miis. EVER.
Are the rumours true that'll you'll be able to wear a T-Shirt with your Gamerpic on?
Re: The New Xbox Experience

I herd the same.
I also liked the swooshing noise. When I get bored I hammer LB and RB just to constently hear the swooshing noise.
Also the Xbox Guide thing is being changed to blades so how will that work?

I don't know but more blades= more swooshes right?Swifteh wrote:HuntingJake wrote:Swifteh, I have not heard those rumours but it should be true. I also heard new clothes would be availalbe for unlocking certain achievments.

I'm the same, it's so fun just to hold the stick or hammer the buttons and hear that lubly noise.

The latest in the weekly NXE Developer Diaries:
http://majornelson.com/archive/2008/10/03/new-xbox-experience-games-marketplace.aspx
This week, we take a look at the Games Marketplace. As you can tell in the below before and after screenshots, the team has done some great work in redesigning the Marketplace to showcase information about each game. In addition to seeing the downloads available for each game, you’ll also be able to look at screen shots and game details (like on Xbox.com.) The Gamerscoreblog has a more in depth post about this, but I’ve posted the high resolution versions of these (and more new Marketplace images) on my Flickr so you can see it for yourself.

Re: The New Xbox Experience
With the November 19th launch of the New Xbox Experience, not only will we see a complete dashboard overhaul, but changes are a coming to Xbox.com and the Xbox Live Marketplace.
The Gamerscore Blog just posted a image preview of how Xbox.com will look with its enhanced XBLM features, including the ability to browse all XBLM content, purchase goodies using your Microsoft points and queue up downloads that'll insta-download the next time you turn on your Xbox 360. We already know this is going to be an extremely useful XBLM searching tool and one of convenience, thumbs up to the Microsoft peeps.
Anyone know this? Pretty sweet.
