YES YES YES.

I loved the original and I can't wait for this. Especially the co-op mode.

And my copy was dispatched today, so it could come tomorrow too. <3

I'm up for any and all co-op aspects of the game, but people will be given extremely limited interactivity in my main garden. I don't want any 'accidents' involving a shovel and a Chewnicorn Laughing

Haven't played the previous game so I think I'll wait to see how this sequel is received before getting it. The co-op does sound really fun though. =]

Its recieved pretty positive reviews.
Wikipedia wrote:GameSpot gave the title a score of 8.5/10, praising the greater variety of gameplay, but criticizing the voice acting.[10] The review highlighted the party/celebration challenge system which encourages players to acquire different piņatas, providing goal-oriented motivation lacking in the previous title.

IGN also gave the game an 8.5/10 (the same score awarded to the original and to Pocket Paradise), indicating that is worth buying if one enjoyed the original and wanted to make use of the co-op features. However, the reviewer did note that the game hasn't radically changed from its predecessor, primarily providing more of the same.

One addition I like is going to the arctic/desert enviroments and using traps/bait to capture pinatas. I thought it would just be sending Gretcham to catch the new ones for you, but this is 10 times better. Very Happy
Oh, also, there 32 new Pinatas (28 tame and 4 sour) to add to the mix, meaning theres over 100 Pinatas to entice. Looks like this will keep me busy for a loooong time Laughing

Thanks, those are some really postitive reviews. Smile But would the game be accessible enough for someone who hasn't played or even knows the concept of Viva Pinata?

I'm sure it will be. Like the first game, I imagine there'll be a brief tutorial at the start for new players, or those who have forgotten stuff which was in the first game. The concept is simple as well, although this time it'll be more complicated than before, what with the regions now, but it should basically be the same principle. Make the best garden you can in order to attract pinata's to it, keep them happy, breed them, buy them accesories. Even if you didn't play the first, then it should still be pretty simple to get into it. Gonna be picking up my copy on either Friday or Saturday, depending on when I can get myself to GAME or somewhere similar. Really looking forward to it, the co-op features in particular.

Never fear, Wikipedia is here!
Wikipedia wrote:In order to give players more choices about how to play the game, the sequel now includes multiple modes:[6]

Player Guide - A mode intended for younger or newer players, where the fundamental aspects of the game are explained and the game pacing is relaxed.
Standard Mode - The primary game mode, which includes challenges from sour piņatas, Ruffians, and other forces.
Just For Fun Mode - A mode where players can hop in and immediately begin working on a garden without worrying about running out of money or having to unlock various items. However, certain more exotic piņatas are not available in this mode, nor are Xbox Live Achievements.
Contests - Players can enter their piņatas in beauty contests and races, the latter of which requires piņatas to race along a course collecting sweets and avoiding loathers (Pester's evil red bombs).
So, to answer your question, yes Smile

I can't wait to get my hands on the game. I don't care if it's just an upgraded version of the first game, as long as it's filled with fun, it'll be great.

I always made sure to name every creature in my garden individually, so I need to get thinking of names for them.

It also happens to be irresistibly cute:
